Dr. Jesse Mooney was a horse-n-buggy country doctor who practiced in Indian Territory in the late 1800s and early 1900s. He performed the first c-sections in the territory, treated eight Indian chiefs, and was instrumental in developing several pioneer communities in southeastern Oklahoma, then Indian Territory.
