I experienced the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, along with my two dogs at the time. It's taken me a good 15 years to complete this book, due to the emotional experience of the event. Most adults are aware of the tragedy; however, I want to write it so children will have an understanding of what occurred. I decided to write from my Lab's perspective, through rhyme and humor.
