This book is about my brother Charles, a very kind, intelligent young man who was drafted at 18yrs old to go fight France during WWII. This was totally contrary to hi nature. He must have been very homesick. He wrote many letters home, could not receive enough in return. He only graduated from Central HS in Evansville, Indiana a short time before he was drafted.
