This is a fun, educational story relating to diversity, inclusivity and self acceptance using the analogy of kids' favorite food... PASTA! It encourages the joy of cooking and healthy eating while learning about the different pasta shapes. This is an engaging way to teach kids about the tools and ingredients of Italian food. Included is a picture glossary that children can point to and name. There are 4 simple recipes that any child can prepare with the help of an adult.

Author Biography

Janene Bourgerie is a professional designer and the Principal of Cayton Design Studios and Jabou Design. She lives in California with a home in the Abruzzi region of Italy. She is the creator and organizer of Italian cooking workshops in California. She combines her creative process and graphic style with her love of cooking along with her passion for mentoring young people. About the Illustrator: Sabrina Schmidt is a graphic designer and illustrator. Based in Rome, Italy, she is the owner of the design studio Nuvolario, and teaches Graphic Design at John Cabot University.
