Details
by Constance Lienhart (Author), René Humbert (Author)
The plates presented in our volumes are a copy of the famous engravings made in 5 books by Dr. Costance Lienhart, professor at the University of Lille, and René Humbert, famous member of the Society of Military History, and published by M. Ruhl in Leipzig between 1897 and 1906 in a limited edition of 600 copies. Today many of these copies belong to collectors from all over the world, and it is precisely from one of these that our edition is derived, supplied to us by our friend Luigi Casali, historian and prestigious collector of original volumes of history and uniformology. The images were then cleaned and adapted to modern printing. This is the first edition to be published in English and Italian. The original chromolithographic plates are almost 400, the layout of the work is divided by type.
