Interest based nervous systems was coined by Dr. William Dodson and talks about that it it isn't interesting, there is no dopamine provided from the task, or the dopamine is not immediate then it is highly adverse to the brain to engage. Instead looking at changing approaches to tasks by implementing interest, novelty, urgency or challenge.
